After weeks of planning (and a LOT of stress about making a birthday cake), we finally had Taylor's first birthday party this past Saturday. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with our original plans of a laid back party in the backyard, so instead it was an "intimate" (i.e.-crowded) affair in our living room. A HUGE thanks to everyone who helped me get this shindig together, and a big thank you to everyone who weathered the rain to come over and make Taylor's first birthday such a special event.
Woohoo! I actually made this cake! After days of stressing over it, I have to say I'm happy with how it turned out.
My cookies on the other hand didn't look as pretty. Oh well, at least no one can question that they were home-made.
